While we're on the subject, would anyone happen to have or know of where there are any icons of Sam Worthington from Avatar? I'm looking for him as human, not in his avatar body. Icons which include the wheelchair would be much appreciated!

I thought I was going to get a lot done, but that's not how it's turning out.

The Unaccomplished
Thought I'd get the baking done this weekend--but having no power did that plan in. I did get the pumpkin bread loaves baked today. Cookies are tomorrow.

Thought I'd get the house cleaned, which I need to do desperately because HeadBoy gave the house to some friends the week we're gone. And while I'm pleased we can help them out and will have our house watched over, it certainly buggers up my precious free time with cleaning.

Thought I'd get part of that done this morning, except I went with HeadBoy to make firewood instead because our boys are bums. And now my back is aching and I'm not in the mood to do anything except sit...and drink.

Thought I'd get to do another round of ficlet requests from y'all, but that probably isn't going to happen. Dammit. I really like doing those. Maybe I can do some New Year's themed drabbles and write them in the car on the way to my parents' house. Maybe.

The Accomplished
I did get my grandmother's necklace strung, except that I ended up having to re-string the whole thing because the end clasp came off. But I didn't get it sent off, so I'm going to hand deliver it in January.

Almost finished with the laundry, the pile this morning was "the height of K-2" according to HeadBoy.

We're almost finished with the shopping. I'm feeling better about Christmas. Only thing left are candies and little toys for the stockings. Boy1's laptop arrived today, but I've decided to give it to him for his birthday.

My parents are giving us a dinner at a good New Orleans seafood restaurant for our gift.

We're going to see 'Avatar' tonight with Boy2. Despite the amount of bitching I do about him, he's a good kid, and he wants to see it. I'd rather see 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' but, hey, sacrifice and all that jazz.

After all my bitching about Christmas funk, I'm still in one, but we have a lovely tree and decorations are up and baking is getting done.

HeadBoy still hasn't bought me anything for Christmas. *shrugs* No biggee *even though I got him a few things* So what do y'all want this year?

Dinner needs to be made.

Does anyone know where I could find some Jude Law icons from when he was in "Gattaca"? Ones where he's in the wheel chair would be FANTASTIC, but I'll take anything I can get. Everyone seems to icon Jude Law, but I'm specifically looking for ones from when he was in that movie so it's becoming a real pain in the arse.

Her daughter's pb is Gemma Arterton.

I am currently trying to find a pb for Louis Weasley. In the RP he will be in he is 16/17. In the harry potter series he has Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour for parents.

I am thinking he should be a male Fleur, with maybe a red tint (in some lights). I don't really care about if red is in the hair or not.

All the LJ/IJ/DW bitching has done the trick. The power came back on in the night.

How did we know? When our neighbor's generator turned off, and blessed silence returned.

[I don't begrudge my neighbor's need for a 24/7 generator to run his wife's medical equipment. Shit, no. However, the generator is on our side of his house, right by our bedroom window. It kind of ruins the peace of a snow and that silence that comes when everyone's off the grid. I'm sure other neighbors are cursing us for having a generator too, though we turn ours off before we go to bed.]

So we got up: I finished loading the dishwasher and turned it on. Headboy threw the wet clothes into the dryer and put in another load in the washer, though, in truth, I should not allow that man near a washing machine. He did not get the laundry gene. :D Ahhhhh! I am truly thankful for the conveniences of modern life.

My back hurts from shoveling snow. But there is much, much to do. seanchaidh, I have a box of grits for you! Anyone else need anything?

Off to do stupid errands.

Any suggestion for a Nymphadora Tonks in her late twenties? I tend to be picky abou my icons/graphics, so I'm looking for a pb that I can find decent hi-res images of, preferably.

I don't know if this is allowed, but I'm looking for a few icons that are from classic hollywood.

Ricardo Montalban, Anthony Perkins, Frank Sinatra, James Stewart, and Fred Astaire to be exact. All of them when they were younger, preferably.
